A Snowy 4th of July?!

Happy 4th of July, Friends!! :o) My family is having their annual 4th of July party today starting at 4pm. Of course...it is storming like crazy here today. :-( Oh well! My doctor said I could go if I stay sitting or laying in a chair for most of the day. It will be nice to get out of the house for the evening and see family I haven't seen in over a year! :-)

Here is my card for today's inspiration challenge. Here is the poster I used as my inspiration: http://www.posters.com/pv-439147_Chr...--Snowman.html. I thought I would do a snowy scene on 4th of July this year. LOL!!!

I used Treehouse Stamps "Jolly Snowman" stamp set to make this card! I used my Treehouse Copic markers to color the card. Then masked the tree and snowman and sponged Baja breeze as the sky. :o) I added white liquid applique as the snow and added stickles glitter to the snow and star! I hope you like it!!

Birthday Butterfly & Update on Preeclampsia

Happy Wednesday, Friends! Here is my card for today's sketch challenge. I used Treehouse Stamps "Butterfly Kisses" stamp set for this card! :) You can also find the decor paper and white gel pen at THS now too! :o) I hope you like it!

It is gearing up to be a crazy rest of my pregnancy! I went back to the doctor Monday  morning. Thank Goodness my blood work shows that my liver is still functioning correctly and I do not show signs of Preeclampsia at this point. But... I'm still at higher risk of developing it since I have been diagnosed with prenatal hypertension!!

So, I'm on modified bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy! I've been teaching Stephen & family how to fill orders and run the company since each and every week could bring something new for me. I go to the doctor weekly from here on out. I'm on blood pressure medicine now and we're hoping it kicks in and allows Grant to bake a while longer. The doctor said our first goal is to get to 34 weeks. Most babies born at that point do very well apparently. Our main goal is for me to make it to 37 weeks. I'm going to guess that Grant will be born the first week of September... if all goes well. So, I'll be doing what I can from the couch and bed. I can sit at my desk for short periods of time. I'll keep you posted on what else happens. Oh and I do not have to do the 3 hour glucose!! Thank Goodness for NO gestational diabetes! :)

Hi Sunshine

Happy Thursday, Friends! I haven't gotten to stamp in almost a week since I was placed on bed rest. I thought I would try sitting up at my stamp table for 30 minutes to make this card and take my blood pressure then. It was fine...so hopefully the doctor will let me at least make one card a day and then go back to bed or the couch.

I made this card for the Treehouse Thursdays Challenge (http://www.treehousestamps.blogspot.com)/. The challenge was to use kiwi kiss and barely banana. Then to use a ribbon and button on my card too. :) This card also works for today's WT challenge here on SCS. :)

I used two of the new stamp sets released TODAY from Treehouse Stamps!!! :) I colored my images with my Treehouse Copic markers and added stickles star dust glitter to the clouds and ground.

Rough Day!! Possible start of preeclampsia!

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to update you on what's been going on with me. I haven't been feeling so great the past few days. I took my blood pressure this morning and it was 141/80! I about freaked out! So, I relaxed and thought it would go back down and it was still 145/76 an hour later.

Later in the day I ended up running to Walmart with my friend, Stefanie, to get baby shower favors for my baby shower this coming Sunday. Well, while we were there I started to get dizzy and she had me take my blood pressure there to check on it. Well, that time it was 147/87! So, I called my doctor and of course they wanted to see me immediately! I started crying in the middle of Walmart and poor Stef was trying to get me to calm down. LOL!

So, at the doctors office my blood pressure was still high. I did the urine sample which was negative for protein...good sign. They had me lay on my left side for 25 minutes. When they checked it again... it was 117/70. Which is awesome!

My doctor comes in and she is worried about me and said she wants to be overly cautious that I'm not developing preeclampsia. :( So, I go in Wednesday morning for my glucose test and several other blood tests to check for preeclampsia. I also have to do a 24-hour urine collection and I'm on bedrest! Fun Fun Fun! It's so scary! I'm just praying so hard that this little boy is doing okay and that he comes when he's ready and not because I've developed preeclampsia. We have another appointment Monday morning to get the test results and I guess we'll go from there. Keep us in your prayers!

Sneak Peek: Ms. Hoot

Happy Monday, Friends! I hope you had a perfectly wonderful weekend! :o) Did you do anything fun for Father's Day?

I just wanted to share a little sneak peek card with you. This adorable Ms. Hoot will be available on Thursday morning at midnight! :) This was one of the images that was submitted for our "Submit your Artwork" contest back this winter. :o)

I used my Tree house Copic markers to color in Ms. Hoot. The beautiful decorative paper can now be found at Treehouse Stamps. It is from basic grey's Marrakech. The "getaway" dew drops can also be found at Treehouse stamps. There are dimensionals behind the chocolate chip cardstock that Ms. Hoot is mounted on. :o)

The inspiration for this stamp set was to make simple images through a child's eyes. One of our customers requested a child like stamp set that could be used on cards to send to children to help cheer them up in tough times. I don't know about you, but I think that adults enjoy cheer up cards as much as children do sometimes. :o) It's just a bright, fun stamp set for all ages.

Bonjour Butterfly

Happy Friday, Friends! :o) I hope you're having a wonderful day!! Here is my card for today's limited supplies challenge. We were supposed to do something with an international flair.

I stamped the large swirly butterfly from Treehouse Stamps "butterfly kisses" stamp set in eggplant envy. Then I cut it out and attached it in the center of the butterfly to the white oval piece. :) I added stardust stickles to its wings and dotted the scallops with my white gel pen. :) The beautiful glittery decorative paper can now be found at Treehouse Stamps! :) Also, the ivory scallop satin ribbon is available at THS also.

Happy Wednesday, Friends! :o) Sorry I haven't had much time to stamp the past week or so. Hopefully today or tomorrow I will get another card posted. LOL!!!

Well, I had a perfect birthday yesterday. It all started at 9:30am when we had a 3D/4D ultrasound. We got to see our baby boy again. He looks perfect and we got some great pictures and little video clips (which are above). I think he might have my nose, but over all... I think he's going to look like his daddy! :o) Guess we'll find out in a couple of months. LOL! My mom & little sister (she's almost 22 & in Pharmacy school...not so little any more) were able to join us for the ultrasound. Which was really nice since it was my birthday. Then last night Stephen's mom & dad brought over a cake & ice cream to celebrate my birthday. I just love them to pieces. It was a great 26th birthday!!! :o)

Happy Birthday to Me!!! LOL!! Today is my 26th birthday! :o) I'm not only celebrating my birthday today, but today I am officially in my 3rd trimester! Woohoo!! Another great part of today is that at 9:30am we have a 3D/4D ultrasound scheduled to see Baby Grant again. It's not for medical reasons... only for fun! :o) They will give us a CD of the photos and I believe a video. So, I will have that to share with you later!!

Happy Wednesday! Here is my card for today's sketch challenge and an extra one. LOL! I needed another birthday card. Two of my friends are twins and their 29th birthdays are this week. :) Hopefully Sabrina and Katrina will love their cards! :)

I used the "Friends & Lattes" stamp set from Treehouse Stamps. I used copic markers from Treehouse Stamps to color the image and then popped it up on dimensionals. Lots of dots on this card. Simple Treat Holder, New Carpet, & 99 Days!!!

Happy Tuesday, Friends! Well, I'm low on Treehouse Stamps right now since they are packed away in a box. I need to dig them out today. LOL! We had the new carpet installed in the baby's room yesterday! It looks wonderful, but our house has been uprooted with having to move EVERYTHING out of the stamp room and into our bedroom. We are living out of boxes & baskets at the moment. The baby's room is the only one put together and organized at the moment. LOL! Oh Well... we're getting there.

Only 99 days until my due date! I have one more week until I enter my 3rd trimester!! Woohoo!! I was hoping to have the baby's room put together and the house in order by then. I can tell the hotter it gets outside...the more I really don't feel great. LOL! Plus, the doctor told me to keep my feet up as much as possible...which I try to do, but don't really have the chance right now.

So, I needed a break... so I sat down with a pop ice popsicle in one hand and cardstock in the other. LOL! I haven't made one of these little treat holders in forever! I just love them. I had this little Thank You stamp from SU! just sitting on the desk. So, I decided to just use it instead of trying to hunt for a Treehouse Stamp. LOL! I had these mini snickers left over from Easter...and they fit perfectly.

"Beary" Special

Hi Friends! Here is my 2nd card for this Monday. LOL! I bought this adorable stamp set from Taylored Expressions last week and it arrived today. They donate $7 to the http://www.sickkidsfoundation.com/home/ when you order the stamp set. I think it is a great cause and I also love the stamps in the set. :)

I made this card for my mother-in-law. She bought the baby's furniture and the carpet for the baby's room. We can't say Thank You enough to her and Stephen's dad. They always try to help out. I know that Baby Grant will feel such a special bond with them growing up. Makes me Smile! :)

I colored the adorable teddy with my Treehouse Copic Markers. I masked the teddy and added the angel wings behind him. Of course... I had to add glitter to the angel wings. LOL! The Teddy is bumped up on dimensionals. I used 3 "getaway" dew drops on this card. The decorative paper will be availabel soon at Treehouse Stamps. Keep an eye out for it. :)

"Hey Melon Head"

Happy Monday! Here is my card for today's TLC Challenge! :-) We were to print and image off onto acetate and color it using markers or whatever worked. :)

I have all the stamps from Treehouse saved on my computer...so I just printed one from there. I tell you what though... acetate and punches... doesn't work as well as we always hoped. LOL!!! Oh well, it's okay. I used copic markers to color my watermelon. They work well on acetate. :-) I attached the watermelon on the acetate to a white piece of copy paper. Then onto the scallop. I hope you like it!

Happy FRIDAY!!! :) I hope you've had a great week! Here is my card for today's Limited Supplies Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. We were to have a one layer card and a summer theme! Not that easy sometimes. LOL!!!

So, I thought I would bring out the sponging with a paper towel & this adorable panda that you can find in the $1 section on Treehouse Stamps. I punched the scallop oval out of a scrap piece of paper... then layed it flat on the front of my card. Then began laying in the colors by sponging them in with a rolled up paper towel. Super fast and easy!! I thought I'd add a pop of color with the bright orange ribbon.

Happy Thursday, Friends!! :-) Friday is almost here! hehehe!! I loved todays "Ways to use it" challenge. We couldn't use stamps. We had to make an image by punches, drawing, etc... So, I thought why not make a punch animal.
I've been making these little punch animals for my upcoming baby shower at the end of June. They are magnets that the guests can take home. :-) I thought this little hippo was so cute and decided I'd go ahead and make my Father-in-laws birthday card. :-) Hopefully he won't think I'm calling him a hippo. I hand wrote the sentiment and punched it out with my word window punch.

Life is Berry Sweet

Well, I'm shocked! This is my 2nd card for today's challenge. I must be getting my stamping mojo back or something. LOL! This hasn't happened in MONTHS! LOL!
The little strawberry & sentiment are from Treehouse Stamps "Life's a Picnic" stamp set...which is on sale right now. I love the decorative paper. I have it on order to bring to THS... hopefully it arrives soon. It's from DCWV's Nana's Nursery "Baby Girl" collection. :o)

An Elegant Birthday

Happy Wednesday, Friends! Here is my card for yesterdays color challenge and today's sketch challenge on Splitcoaststamper. It turned out a little strange in my opinion. LOL!!!

The flowers & leaves are from Treehouse Stamps "Simply Organic" stamp set. The sentiment is from Treehouse Stamps "Elegant Sentiments" stamp set. The little scallop square is up on a dimensional. I added stickles glitter to the flowers and some of the leaves. Then liquid pearls to all 4 corners of the 3 long background stripes. You can also find the satin vanilla ribbon at THS.

The Keith Wedding

Happy Tuesday, Friends! Those of you that celebrated Memorial Day... I hope you had a lovely day yesterday!

It seems like every weekend the past few months...and most weeks have just been crazy busy for us! Stephen was in one of his friends weddings this past Saturday. JR & Summer are in Punta Cana on their honeymoon as we speak. :o) I know they're having a great time... since Stephen and I were married there and all... almost 5 years ago already!

Stephen went to the Indianapolis 500 race on Sunday. OMG! He left the house at 5:50am and didn't get home until 9:30pm that night. He has blisters on his feet, his ankles were swelled up from walking nearly 6 miles with 2 coolers and a backpack! I was shocked that he even worked out in the yard yesterday after having such a busy weekend. LOL!!

The card above was the one that I made for the bride & groom to go with their wedding present. :)

Baby Rag Quilt

 

Happy Saturday, Friends! I hope you're having a lovely start to your weekend! I know several people that are expecting baby's soon or a little after me. I decided to try my hand at making baby rag quilts. Here is my first attempt...and I love how it turned out! :o) This is for a friend that is expecting her little girl any day now! Hopefully she will like it. So, one blanket down & five more to go! LOL!!

Well, sorry this is so short. I have to get breakfast going and then help Stephen get ready for a wedding that he is in tonight. Get this... the wedding is at 6:30pm tonight, but the pictures for the wedding are at 12:30pm this afternoon?!?! Have you ever heard of that?! LOL! I told Stephen to call and check with his friend again and make sure they didn't mix up the time. I can't see the bride being in her dress that long or even Stephen in that tux for hours  upon hours.
